What “guided play” looks like at the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel:

• Hands on support to refine rules and improve confidence at the table.

• Help with Charleston decision making

• While you should already have a basic understanding of how to read the NMJL card, you may need more support understanding the nuances of the NMJL card. We’ll highlight trickier hands.

• Improve how to choose a hand and pivot when needed

• Defensive strategies

We are teachers by trade, and have expertise in differentiating for individual student needs. We will support you at the table based on where you are at and what you want regarding hands on support. You may repeat a guided play class as many times as you want, and we can tailor it to your needs each time.

Pre-requisite: Must have a basic knowledge of american mahjong rules. You have either taken an intro to mahjong class or have equivalent experience. You know the tiles, generally how to navigate the NMJL card, and have played a game at least 2-3 times.
