Scoring Practice! Example 1

A student sent us this screenshot and wanted to know why their hand score was -480. Let’s practice scoring this together! Have your Canasta Connection Cheat Sheet next to you as you practice scoring.

Let’s first score Team A “Robot 2” and “me.” This is at the top and bottom of your screen.

Step 1: Check how many canastas you have

2+ canastas: earn positive bonus for threes

1 canasta: threes are neutral

0 canastas: earn negative bonus for threes and all points in hand and on the table are negative
